Dermatologist reveals what could be the mystery marks on Trump’s hand

During recent public appearances, former President Donald Trump was seen with red marks on his hand, including his thumb, index finger, and palm, sparking speculation about their cause. Some theories suggested a fall, hand herpes, or even ketchup.

Dr. Joshua Zeichner, a dermatologist, noted that hand rashes could result from various factors like infections, dry skin, or external exposures, but he emphasized that it’s impossible to diagnose from just a photo.

He suggested that dry hands, possibly due to frequent washing, could be one cause, or that friction from golf or weightlifting might also explain the marks. Another possibility is chemical burns from lime juice, though Trump doesn’t drink alcohol.

Trump has long boasted about his excellent health, with a medical report stating that he’s in “exceptional” cognitive health and attributed his weight loss to a better diet and physical activity. His doctor once claimed Trump would be the “healthiest person ever elected to the presidency,” although it was later revealed that Trump himself wrote the note. Throughout his presidency, Trump’s health was often questioned, especially after he made headlines for boasting about his performance on a dementia test.
